World Water Day 2015 – March 23, 2015

Graduate Research Symposium and Water Celebration

Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. UN-Water supports the World Water Day campaign and sets the theme each year and 2015 it is ‘Water and Sustainable Development’. World Water Day provides an important opportunity to consolidate and build upon the previous World Water Days to highlight water’s role in the sustainable development agenda.

Join us for a day-long celebration on Monday March 23, 2015 highlighting university water research and raising awareness of local and global water issues. The event includes:

– Poster presentations

– Booths from local community, government and business.

– Water sector networking

– Buffet Lunch.

Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo celebrate World Water Day each March 22. The 2015 event, the 6th Annual World Water Day Graduate Fair and Water Celebration, will be held on Monday March 23, 2015. The day is organized by graduate students at Laurier and UW and sponsored by the Centre for Cold Region and Water Science Student Network (CCRWIN), Students of the Water Institute Graduate Section (SWIGS), The UW Water Institute, and the Laurier Institute for Water Science with additional contributions from the Laurier Graduate Students Association and the Office of Research Services at Laurier.

World Water Day is open to all.  Come out and join the celebration.
